Kelly is among the first friendly voices clients hear when they call Payne Law Firm, and she takes that responsibility to heart. As the firm’s Receptionist and Client Success Specialist, she keeps the front lines running smoothly by welcoming new clients, guiding them through the first steps of their case, and ensuring communication flows seamlessly between clients and the legal team. With more than eight years of client relations experience and three years as a receptionist, Kelly brings professionalism, warmth, and a genuine desire to help to every interaction.

Drawn to the legal field by her curiosity about the justice system and her drive to master challenging roles, Kelly loves pairing her natural communication skills with the opportunity to learn the inner workings of criminal defense. Her mission is simple: help people feel seen, understood, and supported from the moment they reach out. Or, as she puts it, “Who wouldn’t want to prove they’re a kick-a$$ receptionist?”

Kelly takes pride in understanding her role inside and out and excels at streamlining processes to make clients’ lives easier. She approaches each day with kindness, patience, and a true commitment to service, knowing that a reassuring voice and a steady hand can make all the difference in a client’s experience.

Originally from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Kelly now lives in Rogers near Hobbs State Park. When she’s not helping clients, she’s likely outside hiking, exploring nature, or spending time with her family. On the rare days she’s indoors, she enjoys unwinding with video games, a good audiobook (her favorite is Circe by Madeline Miller), or a caramel-iced chai.

Her personal life is full of character, currently including a flock of chickens and a snake named Jörmungandr, after the Norse myth. She’s engaged and excited to be married in the spring of 2026.
