Brannen Payne

Founder and Trial Attorney

“I attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway for my undergrad and the University of Arkansas School of Law here in Fayetteville. After graduating law school I worked with two large "volume-practice" defense firms in Northwest Arkansas for several years before realizing that I could provide better outcomes and services for my clients through my own firm--centered on client outcomes above all else. I founded Payne Law Firm, PLLC, to provide focused and personalized representation on  DWI  and criminal cases throughout Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley.”

Kao Lee

Trial Attorney

"As a criminal defense attorney, I get to look at diverse individuals, with unique situations and
see how the law applies to those specific circumstances. This is what I enjoy most about the
practice of law–helping individuals address their problems through my study of the law and the
facts. I take my clients’ cases seriously, and I work hard to achieve the best outcomes. Even
so, I do find that it is quite necessary to instill fun and joy into my days at the office. For this, I
very much appreciate a team that can laugh and genuinely enjoy each other’s company."

Triniti Spann

Client Success Specialist

I graduated from John Brown University in December of 2022 with my Bachelors in Family and Human Services and Spanish. In my free time, I mainly hang out with my husband (Simon) and go to pilates classes. Other than that, I like to spend time with my friends and listen to music. A few of my favorite artists as of right now are: The White Stripes, Beastie Boys, CAKE, and Orville Peck. What I like about the firm is Brannen and Kao's genuine concern for client well-being and advocacy. I plan to work hard alongside them and continue that mission to help y’all “rest easy”. I look forward to getting to know you all and helping you out during this stressful time in life!”

Kaden Reed

Creative Director

"I graduated from John Brown University in May of ‘23 with a double major in Biblical Studies and Intercultural Studies and a double minor in History and Linguistics. Music, Religious Studies, and Language are my main loves in life! I speak Spanish, French, Italian, and read Biblical Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino! I spend a lot of my free time playing with my band (Maple Street), biking around NWA, brewing coffee, and reading up on medieval history (especially the Ottomans, they rock!). I love thinking learning the firm’s processes and marketing to collaboratively add bells and whistles that both help our staff as well as clients

Ethan Davis

Law Clerk

“After Graduating from Missouri Southern State University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, I began attending the University of Arkansas School of Law. I will graduate in May of 2024, and will join the firm as an attorney after passing the bar! In my limited free time I love to relax by watching various TV shows with my wife and my cats. The Rookie, The Good Place, and anything Star Wars are my favorites! I look forward to learning from Brannen and Kao about how to approach trials and refining my attention to detail.”

Alexis Ward

Head of Legal Operation

“I am a certified Arkansas District Court Clerk and a Certified Court Manager (CCM) accredited from National Center for State Courts. I have a degree in Organizational Management from John Brown University. I was most recently a former Chief District Court Clerk and now the Head of Legal Operations at Payne Law Firm where I help lead a team to provide top-notch service with a focus on DWI and criminal defense. I reside in Northwest Arkansas with my husband of 20 years and our two children. In I spare time, I enjoy reading and serving on my town's Friend's of the Library Board. I hope to one day be a better friend to potted plants.
